I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
